When Canada legalized cannabis in 2017, many things changed. A previously illegal substance was now being sold for recreational use. Cannabis brands were search for a way to stand out.
Because it is a controlled, there were very strict regulations about how brands could advertise.
While advertise the “benefits” of their products is not legal, educating consumers and showcasing the quality of production facilities was perfectly okay. What better way to educate consumers than with virtual reality!
The VR experience was not only excellent for B2C marketing, it also helped raise over $200M in investment.
I also produced a ton of 2D content. The nice thing about 360 VR production is that you can create 2D media that can be used across socials and the other channels.
