The cannabis boom of 2018 marked a fascinating period characterized by a substantial influx of capital into the sector, which in tern led to a great deal of innovation. During this time, I had the opportunity to leverage a diverse array of technologies to assist my clients in navigating the unique business challenges posed by the cannabis industry.

Given the controlled substance status of cannabis, stringent regulations governed the presentation of products and brand attributes. Negotiating these restrictions required creative solutions to showcase the essence of the products without violating legal guidelines. The dynamic environment of the cannabis market during this period demanded a nuanced approach, blending technological innovation with a keen awareness of regulatory boundaries to help clients thrive in this burgeoning industry.

The bud and its structure served as a distinctive feature for our client, setting their product apart. However, showcasing the actual bud became challenging due to regulatory constraints.

Through navigating these restrictions, I delved into an unexpected wealth of knowledge about cannabis. For instance, I discovered the significance of terpenes, compounds responsible for the distinct aroma of each cannabis strain. Moreover, terpenes are thought to possess various properties, ranging from anti-inflammatory effects to aiding digestion and inducing euphoria. In essence, this journey revealed that the cannabis experience extends far beyond the stereotypical perception—it's not just about the plant; it's a nuanced and multifaceted realm.

As part of a the product launch for CannTrust we showcased the Augmented Reality Cannabis tool along with a number of other experiences we developed.

We also built a sales tool for reps to easily navigate their products as well as educate health practitioners and retails locations on their brand.

Addressing the educational gap in a nascent industry posed a significant challenge, particularly in the realm of cannabis. To overcome this hurdle, we harnessed the power of computer vision technology to develop a cutting-edge product identification tool. This tool not only facilitated the identification of various cannabis products but also included an innovative hologram budtender.

The hologram budtender served as an interactive guide, offering valuable information to consumers about different strains, usage methods, and potential effects. This immersive and educational approach aimed to bridge the knowledge divide, providing consumers with a personalized and informative experience. By leveraging advanced technology, we not only enhanced consumer education but also contributed to the overall growth and acceptance of the burgeoning cannabis industry.
